We spoke with Joe, who has dreamt of a career in aviation for as long as he can remember. He tells us how the location and UK-based training were major reasons why he chose FTA for his flight training. Joe offers advice for those considering pilot training in the future.

International Women's Day is a global day which celebrates the social, cultural, economic, and political achievements of women. As well as being a day for celebration, a significant part of the day is also making a call to action for accelerating women's equality.
Aviation is an industry where both of these elements of International Women’s Day can be seen. Great strides have been taken and achieved for female pilots, however, indisputably, more can and needs to be done to ensure that there is true equality in the aviation industry. - Only 5.8% of the world’s airline pilots are female (The International Society of Women Airline Pilots (ISA+21).

After the most unimaginable 18 months, Heather is able to put aside any negativity and continue to pour her energy into her love of aviation. Most have needed to demonstrate a level of resilience during the pandemic, but Heather has had to switch ATOs and persevere despite extreme upheaval.

Ben explains why he enrolled on a full-time course with fta

Ben had planned to fly in the military but the realisation that he would need glasses as a teen, meant reconsidering his options. Already familiar with handling adversity, Ben made a positive decision about his pilot career.

Chloe explains her motivation and drive for becoming a pilot

Chloe is currently completing her second module of ATPL Theory at FTA Global. She tells us how she has found her training so far and how despite her father inspiring and supporting to become a pilot, was cautious to first ensure that she was certain it was the career for her. He explained to her the highs and lows of the industry and undeterred she forged ahead certain the vocation is her calling.
