Protecting and supporting our staff and students

Alexandra O'Loughlin20 Mar 2020 Posted in: flight training uk

As a company, we join the global community in combatting a time of unprecedented strain to our health and socioeconomic environment. It is without question that Covid-19 will affect us all in some way.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our airport, business partners, students, staff and stakeholders for their continued support and custom through this troubling time.

With this in mind, students on our flight line can view the flight documents online, and will only come in to the school to complete their scheduled flying lessons. We also have contingency plans in place to deliver the classroom-based tuition online (should this become necessary). This will be in addition to the computer-based training, which students already access from home.

We have imposed these and many other measures, including of course suite of measures of increased cleanliness, so we may continue to operate, whilst safeguarding our students and staff.

Trusted and trained leaders and scientists are actively combatting fear, stigma, and misinformation, and encouraging behaviours like handwashing to slow the spread of the disease. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and follow the advice of the government and expert scientists.

As a school that offers both modular and integrated programmes students can be with us for as little as a few days or up to two years. All our staff and students are of equal importance to us, and we will continue to put positive actions in place to protect their health, training and well-being.

So far, none of our staff or students have tested positive for Covid-19. This is a rapid moving, complex situation however students and prospective customers can feel assured, that we are doing what is right for them. We are committed to staying optimistic through what could be very turbulent times and will continually adapt to this challenging situation.

We will of course keep you updated of any changes, but if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
