We assist all our students with sourcing suitable accommodation close to our flight schools.
There are many factors to take into when considering flight training and accommodation is one of them. We recognise that if this is your first time from home, or you're arriving from another country, finding a safe, relaxing and suitable home can seem quite daunting. At FTA we are happy to assist you with sourcing accommodation which is close to the school and fits within your budget. In 2017, we had 24 nationalities across the world join us and we helped meet their requirements and needs.
At FTA, we are privileged to be based on the South Coast of England, which lends itself to a wide array of stunning and beautiful scenery. Located in Shoreham-by-Sea, the local town offers a great range of shops, events, restaurants and pubs and everything else you need to have a fantastic time during your time studying. Whilst we are situated in Shoreham, we have a variety of neighbouring towns only a bus or train journey away – Brighton and Hove, Worthing and Lancing
I absolutely loved it in Shoreham and miss it dearly, I try to go back when I can to see my friends and instructors that are still there! Shoreham has got everything you need, as well as being no more than 15 minutes from Brighton which is a great City to socialise and have a good day out with everyone! Toby, First Officer Flybe
We work closely with the local community to provide a database of host families that will meet all of your needs. These properties are reviewed by our Student Welfare Manager and are then added to our portfolio, ready for you to live in. All our students live in privately rented accommodation and enjoy the flexibility and independence that this offers. We recommend a budget of £120 - £160 a week to live close to our base in the UK.
If you prefer to live alone, we can also assist you with finding the right property that meets your needs and criteria. Our student services team are more than happy to contact estate agents and landlords for you and make this transition as easy as possible for you. Depending on the area, we recommend to budget around £600-£800 a month for rent (subject to property, deposit, bills and furniture).
